Well my husband is finally back home, and I have a little bit more time to blog again. This last week has been pretty crazy without his help around here. Now life can resume as normal, and I can finally relax a LITTLE!
I did the kettlebell thing on Monday again...I had to do 100 Kettlebell Snatch's per arm with a 20lb weight...I did them in 14:50, so that's a time to beat for the next time I get put through that tortue! If you want to find out what the Kettlebell Snatch looks like, just check it out on www.youtube.com
I am trying to take little steps to being more active as well in my everyday life, like today I was at the library, and instead of taking the elevator, which I normally do, I took the stairs, and I felt good about that!! Baby steps...lol.

Kettlebells are my BESTFRIEND....
Kettlebells and I have a love/hate relationship I love that they are helping my drop the pounds, but MAN do they suck...lol. Check out this video that our local news did on Kettlebells, and you can see the torture that I endure and my torturer being interviewed.

All Alone with two kids and a dog.
Well my husband has left me for the week to enjoy some music in Maryland with a bunch of friends...now I haven't decided if that's going to help or hinder my good eating, but I do know that without him here I am burning WAY more calories by chasing my kids around by my lonesome. It's definately harder to pick healthier options though when you are rushed, like tonight my 5 year old had T-Ball, so I am doing the one man show to try and get both kids get fed, then the older one ready for ball, and of course the dog fed and taken out as well. So Burritos for supper, but I have learned that it's not ALWAYS about exactly WHAT you eat, but the portion size, because no one can be perfect 100% of the time.
I also had another tortue session with Shane, and boy do I love kettlebells (sarcasm), although maybe I should love them more because they are helping me to dump the plump...HELLO 4 POUND WEIGHT LOSS this last week!!! It's all worth it, and I really enjoy the workout...once it's finished! Now after a very full day, I am relaxing on the couch...well deserved! Here's my menu...

Gardening Day...
Well I did alot of gardening this weekend, I spent the entire day today in my yard, was out there until the sun went down...LITERALLY! I was doing alot of digging and shoveling, so that must count as physical labour. Because of the holiday there was no tortue session with Shane, and I think my calves were very thankful for that because they are STILL hurting me!
I forgot to type up my food journal from yesterday...and I wrote it all down in a notebook, but to be truthful my dog ate it...no seriously, my dog got a hold of the journal and chewed it to bits....so I can't exactly remember what I ate yesterday, but I know I came in around 1900 calories for the day.

Well my calves are KILLING me today, thanks be to jump pull ups. I can visualize my sexy calves forming....lol....but as of right now I am sure I look pretty hillarious trying to walk half normal. Oh the joys of exercise! We had a lazy rainy day today, didn't do much of anything, but I started journaling my food and counting calories again, so that's a great help to keep me on track, and now for today's verdict of my foods.

TGIF.
What a day today has been, was feeling a bit overwhelmed today with the kidlets and our puppy....but I feel way better after my tortue session with Shane. Working out really relieves the stress, better than eating away your sorrows, although I have never been an "emotional eater", but I can see how some people might do it.
I did a bunch more kettlebell exercises, and some jump pull ups, which LOOK like they might be enjoyable, but they surely are not!
I also met with Emily today, the dietician, and I am instructed to start journalling what I am eating again, as I have kinda got out of that lately. So aren't you all excited to read what I have been eating again?!!?!?! lol. It will keep me eating good, because I sure do not want to be writing down Pizza for Breakfast and Chips for snack. I will make you all proud, this weight is coming off, I feel SOOO good today, I feel much better than this morning, and I just KNOW I am going to do this.
Even though my muscles will cry and my belly might crave salty chips, I will NOT FAIL! I feel like I am a motivational speaker, I can envision myself standing on a soapbox and talking about racism...lol.
Anyhoo, I am going to start food journalling again tomorrow, and I hope you all have a great long weekend!

Pounds to Go:

Pounds Lost Total:

So it's been a while since I weighed myself, and I have gained about two pounds in the last month and a half, which isn't even that bad considering the little amount of exercise I did and the poor eating...but I am back, and I have been working out HARD.
Last Wednesday I did TIRE FLIPS, like with a huge tire, I had to squat down, lift it up (with my legs) and flip it, and I had to continue flipping it across a gravel pit in Temple Fitness's outdoor workout area, and then when I reached the end of the gravel pit, I had to flip it back, then PUSHUPS, then back to tire flips, etc. I did that for a good 45 minutes. I have a nasty bruise aswell to prove the WRATH OF THE TIRE.
Then on Friday I did some interval training on the treadmill, even though my legs were feeling like JELLO from my workouts earlier in the week. I did 45 minutes, with walking/running intervals and it added up to 4 kilometres...woo woo.
On the weekend I took a minor break for the typical workouts, but I did go to the pool with the family and built a fence, so that must count for some physical labor.
And now MONDAY, I went through some more torture from Shane...I had to pull a weight attached to a harness down a VERY LONG ALLEY (at least it felt very long) in the 30 degree heat, and then back again....PLUS more kettlebell workouts and a few mountclimbers for good measure!
This weight is getting dumped and nothing is going to get in my way!

Feeling 90 years old...
Well I am back at the workouts, stronger than every, thanks to SHANE at Temple Fitness. He's my new trainer, and he sure brings on the hurt. I did a kettlebell workout and it worked sooo many muscles, infact those same muscles are crying right now, but in a good way....lol. So now I am working out with Shane Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and I am going to continue to do my interval training on the treadmill on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I didn't hit the treadmill today though, I need a little more recovery time because of the pain I am in.
I did however shovel gravel tonight to make a pad for our new shed, so theres some more physical labor to help drop these pounds.
As a smaller goal I would like to lose 60 pounds by the end of the summer, so I am really getting strict!!!! No more bad eating, no more late night snacking...no more pop.
I did forget to weigh myself on Monday, so I will try to remember for tomorrow morning.
Chow,
Anee

Back on the wagon...
In case you haven't noticed...I haven't written on here in a LONG time...I FELL OFF THE WAGON...booo...I stopped trained with Jeff...her dumped me...lol...he's just too busy with life, which is okay I understand, and I thought I could do the gym thing by myself...but with no one to make an appointment with, I just chose not to leave my house to make it to the gym. With not going to the gym in kinda made me throw my good eating out the window too.
BUTTTTT....I AM BACK people, I am not letting a couple of weeks of bad eating and no exercise let me lose track of my long term goal, and that is STILL to lose 100 pounds.
I am still not eating meat, and I never thought I would say this, but I can't see myself eating it again and I am really enjoying the new lifestyle I have adopted. I have watched a lot of documentary's lately and read a bunch of articles, and they have really changed my mind on meat in general. It's now not only a weight loss thing, but a lifestyle thing, and it's not just about the health reasons, but the animal reasons too!!! I encourage everyone to watch the following documentaries...
1)The Cove 2)Food Inc. 3)End of the Line
And read... Diet for a New America and Eating Animals
Anyway, I haven't weighed myself in a long time, because I don't want to face the music of gaining some, but I am going to work out and eat right this week and I will do a brand new weigh in on Monday!!!! And I no matter what that number is I am NOT going to give up! I was doing so good for soo long!
I am now trying to train myself to RUN....so I am focusing most of my exercising on cardio, I am doing running interval training on the treadmill; 4 minutes of walking then 1 minute of running, back and forth doing that! And I lasted 45 minutes yesterday! And I am also doing Aquasize to switch up my exercising and to focus more on toning, using the resistance of the water.
Sorry to leave ya'll hanging, but I AM BACK! And I still working on my goal!
Thanks for reading!

Today's Weight:

Loss Since Last Week:

Not the greatest loss this week, but it's still a loss, so that's good...I will make it to my goal, slowly but surely.
Things are going well with my eating, I am doing pretty good with snacking too, although on the weekend I had some alcohol, so those were added calories that I really did not need. I am trying to wake up earlier and go to bed earlier, just to get into an all around "healthier" routine....but things are good, I am really loving life this week.
Love my kids and my new puppy and my weightloss!
Going to the gym now...

SOOO SORE!
Well I worked out with Jeff on Wednesday, and it was BRUTAL, it was way harder than what we have been doing lately. We didn't use any machines, it was burpees, pushups, crunches, squat with medicine ball, etc. I was sure sweating, and it's FRIDAY, and my legs and arms are still sooo sore I can barely walk or kneel...but that means I was working HARD. I AM A BURNIN'.
Also we just got a brand new addition to our family, A PUPPY, her name is Juno, and she is sooo cute. I am really excited to take her on walks everyday, yay, more exercise too.
I have a wedding to go to tomorrow, so I am not sure what my food choices will be, but I definately won't be able to eat the meat...so that will help me to hopefully make better food choices. And maybe dancing up a storm will burn some calories.
Have a Great Weekend...
Night.

Gym Nerves...
Well I finally got my butt back to the gym, I only went twice last week because it was just a crazy busy week, but this week, no excuses and I kicked my own butt at the gym. It was busy at the gym and normally I get kinda nervous to do my work out when so many people are around, especially many people that are in very good shape. But I pushed through my nervousness and the "juice heads" (as Snooki from Jersey Shore would say), and I did my weights and my cardio and even laid down in the middle of the floor of the busy gym to do my ball crunches. I just kept my eye on the prize!
I watched the documentary Food Inc last night and it made me sad, it definately made me rethink the whole vegetarian thing. I used to only want to do it temporarily and for health reasons, but now I am leaning more towards long term and for the sake of the animals as well as health. I highly recommend you all watch it.
Today I ate some home made Pad Thai for supper with tofu, yumm yumm. And I bought mini popcorn bags, so I am not forced to eat a whole huge bag by myself! That is an improvement.
Just gonna watch some of my Tuesday Shows...BIGGEST LOSER, gonna get some more inspiration perhaps!

WEIGH DAY...
Well I do have to say I have somewhat gotten out of writing EVERY day on this blog, but life has been sooo busy lately. Last week I only worked out twice :( But I have still kept on track with my eating, with the occasional evening that I might get together with friends and eat snacks. The vegetarian thing is also going good, I am feeling good, and I am not really missing meat yet, I have been able to make really great tasting food without using meat!
Anyway, today is WEIGH DAY....
Starting Weight: (January 4th, 2010)
274.8
Today's Weight:
254.3
Loss Since Last Week:
-1.7
Pounds to Go:
80.3
Pounds Lost Total:
20.5
I wish my progress was going a little faster, but I know you only get back what you put in, and I am not EXTREMEMLY strict with my eating, and I usually only work out 3 days a week. But they do day 1-2 pounds a week is the healthy way to lose weight, so I guess I am doing it the healthy way!
I will try to write more this week, I think things are going to slow down a bit for me now.

Luck of the Irish.
Happy St. Patty's Day, no drinkin' for me, although I don't drink normally either, but alcohol has alot of empty calories, just a little side not for yah.
I have been eating good lately, but that's probably because I haven't got groceries in a LONG time, so I literally do not have any snack food in my house to eat. (I still have a store of popcorn though).
I made some vegetable thai curry for supper with a side of brown rice, it was delish. Although it's so hard to figure out what the calories are on something when you make it from scratch, and it includes so many different things. Especially for me because when I cook and eat I do not ever measure anything. I haven't been as strict with counting my calories either lately, I am pretty sure I am on track, but I know counting them, really helps to keep me accountable, especially when I post it here.
The vegetarian thing is still going well, I just need to go buy some more groceries. But everything I have made so far has been edible, and 99% of them are actually DELICIOUS!!!! And it sure is fun to make new recipes and really experiement with different flavors!
Worked out today with Jeff and Khrista, I love working out with Jeff, he really pushes a person, which is good, because some days I just don't want to push myself! I wish I could work out with him more, but thems the breaks! OH OH OH, and I forgot to say I did my first EVER "male" push-up.....EVER, never in my entire life have I been able to do one, and I did one the other day, just one, but one is SOOO great!
Anyhoo, I still have 83 more pounds to go, so I will keep up the good work, I wish I could say great work, but losing weight is tough!

WEIGH DAY...
Starting Weight: (January 4th, 2010)
274.8
Today's Weight:
256
Loss Since Last Week:
-1
Pounds to Go:
82
One pound this week, that seems kind of pathetic, but they do say 1 - 2 pounds a week is the proper way to lose weight, I wish it was more, but a pound is a pound!
I had SUCH a busy weekend, I decided to rip apart my kitchen and re-do my cabinets, so eating was kinda put on the back burner, in fact on Saturday all I had was an Apple for breakfast, a piece of toast for lunch, then soup, garlic bread and salad for supper. After midnight when I was finally done the first coat of stain on the cabinet trim, I was SOOOO hungry, so I grabbed whatever, and whatever included leftover garlic bread and snack mix. So that wasn't the best, but I didn't have many calories throughout the day, which probably wasn't good either, it's bad to eat too little calories too.
Going to varathane some more cabinets today, and make it to the gym later this evening!

Slackin' on the blogs.
Does anyone really care what I am eating, it's getting to be somewhat repetitive, maybe I should change my format a bit, and just write my triumphs and fails, and share some recipes that I find that are delicious every now and again.
I met with Jeff (trainer @ Snap) on Wednesday with my faithful workout partner Khrista, and we got a whole new workout regime, so on Thursday Khrista and I met up to test out the workout, and it sucks...in a good way sucks though. It definately pays to switch up the program, I can tell I am working my muscles in a different way by the way my body is hurting today, the day after is always the worst.
I have been eating pretty good, and my snacking in the evenings has been under control the last couple of days. Although yesterday I promised my daughter I would take her for ice cream, and I got a blizzard for myself, just a small though, I asked for a kids size first, but they don't sell kids sized blizzards...boooo.
I plan on going to workout again today, even though my muscles are yelling at me. No pain no gain, and by gain I mean loss...weight loss.
Days until weigh day: 3 Days
Pounds to dump: 83
